Relief begins with being heard

Massage therapy that’s actually made for you.

What if your next massage wasn’t “just” a massage… but a complete reset for your body, mind, and mood?

Imagine walking in feeling stiff, stressed, or worn down—and having a place to set some of that down. Somewhere you don’t have to take care of anyone else, make every decision, or hold it all together.

We don’t hand you a cookie-cutter treatment. We take time to understand what’s going on in your body, how you’ve been feeling, and what you need from us that day. Then your therapist thoughtfully chooses the techniques and pace around you.

Whether you’re hoping for focused attention to stubborn knots, the comforting warmth of hot stones, or a gentle reset, our intention is the same: to help you feel cared for as a whole person. Relaxation and results belong in the same room.

You don’t have to choose the perfect technique.
You just have to make a little room for yourself.

01 · WE LISTEN

Start with a conversation.

Share your goals, relevant health history, and areas you’d like us to focus on—or avoid.

02 · WE ADAPT

Comfort comes first.

Pressure, positioning, and techniques can be adjusted throughout. Your feedback is always welcome.

03 · YOU EXHALE

Make room for yourself.

Whether you prefer quiet or conversation, this is time to settle in and receive attentive care.

A place to feel cared for

You take care of so much.
Let us take care of you.

Maybe it’s the tight shoulders. The busy mind. The feeling that you’ve been doing everything for everyone, and your own needs keep slipping to the bottom of the list.

If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll book when you have time, we understand. Making space for yourself doesn’t always come naturally—especially when you’re used to being the one others lean on.

At the Self-Care Center, you don’t have to earn your rest. You don’t have to arrive feeling calm, know the right words, or apologize for needing a little extra attention. We want this to be a place where you can feel comfortable being exactly who you are.

Our hope is that you leave with more than a good massage: a little more ease in your body, a little more quiet in your mind, and the reminder that your well-being matters, too.

Massage therapy FAQs

First visit or familiar ritual, your questions are welcome.

Which type of massage is right for me?

You don’t need to choose a technique before you arrive. Tell your therapist how you’re feeling, where you hold tension, and what you’d like from your session. Together, you can select an approach and pressure that feel right for you.

What types of massage do you offer?

Our menu includes Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, sports and recovery, prenatal, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, geriatric massage, trigger point therapy, and reflexology. Availability of individual techniques can vary by practitioner; tell us what you’re interested in when booking.

How long is a massage session?

The current menu offers 30, 60, 90, and 120-minute sessions. A shorter visit can focus on one area; a longer session allows more time for full-body work and areas needing extra attention. Check the booking calendar for practitioner availability.

How much does a massage cost?

Prices depend on the session and practitioner. View current services, prices, and appointment times online, or text us at (941) 275-9890 for help choosing.

What should I expect at my first massage?

Your therapist will ask about your goals, relevant health history, areas to focus on, and pressure preferences. You’ll have privacy to get comfortable on the table. During the session, you can ask for changes to pressure, positioning, temperature, or anything else affecting your comfort.

Do I have to undress for my massage?

Only to your comfort level. You’ll have privacy to change and will be appropriately draped, with only the area being worked on uncovered. Tell your therapist about your preferences or questions before the session.

Will a deep tissue massage hurt?

Firm pressure can feel intense, but you don’t need to push through pain. Tell your therapist immediately if anything feels sharp, uncomfortable, or too strong so they can adjust the technique.

Can I get a massage while I’m pregnant?

We offer prenatal massage with adapted positioning and techniques. Tell us how far along you are and discuss any pregnancy-related concerns before booking. Your maternity care provider can advise whether massage is appropriate for your circumstances.

What if I have an injury or medical condition?

Tell us about injuries, recent surgery, medications, allergies, sensitivities, and relevant health conditions when booking and before your session. Your therapist can discuss adjustments or whether you should seek guidance from your healthcare provider first.

Are your massage therapists licensed?

Yes. Massage services at the Self-Care Center are performed by Florida-licensed massage therapists. Meet our team to learn more about their backgrounds and approaches.

What should I do after my massage?

Give yourself a little space to notice how you feel. Drink water as you normally would and follow any individualized suggestions from your therapist. If something feels unusual or concerning, contact your therapist or healthcare provider.

How often should I get a massage?

Your schedule can reflect your goals, preferences, and budget. Some clients enjoy a regular monthly visit; others prefer more frequent sessions for a period of time. Your therapist can help you plan a rhythm that suits you.

What are the benefits of massage?

Clients often seek massage for relaxation, relief from everyday muscle tension, and a greater sense of ease. Some report feeling more comfortable, rested, or less stressed afterward. Experiences vary, and massage does not replace medical evaluation or treatment.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged for the reserved service. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may mean shortening or rescheduling your session. Read our full Spa Etiquette + Policies.

Should I tip my massage therapist?

Gratuity is not included. Our current policy lists customary tipping of 15–25%. Gratuity cannot be added to credit card payments, but cash, Venmo, Zelle, and Cash App are options.

Do you offer massage gift cards?

Yes. Purchase a gift card online so the recipient can choose their visit.

What’s the difference between massage and Reiki?

Massage uses hands-on techniques and pressure to work with muscles and soft tissues. Reiki is a complementary practice using light touch or hands held above the body, without massage pressure. Explore Reiki or sound meditation if you prefer a quiet experience without muscle work.

Your well-being matters here

Give yourself a place to exhale.

We’d love to be the place you turn to when you need to feel nurtured, supported, and a little more like yourself. Come for the muscle work, the quiet, or simply the chance to let someone take care of you for a change.
