Experience Elevated Massage Therapy in Venice, FL

Massage Therapy That’s Actually Made for You

What if your next massage wasn’t “just” a massage… but a complete reset for your body, mind, and mood?

Imagine walking in feeling stiff, stressed, or worn down… and leaving an hour later feeling lighter, freer, and completely renewed.

We don’t hand you a cookie-cutter treatment. Sophia or Nancy, your expert massage therapists, will meet with you before your session to understand exactly what’s going on in your body — then hand-select the techniques that will deliver the biggest transformation for you that day.

Whether you need deep relief for stubborn knots, the melting warmth of hot stones, specialized care for pregnancy, or a gentle reset that restores your energy, every stroke is intentional… every moment is designed to get you results you can feel the second you get off the table.

You don’t have to choose the perfect technique. You just have to choose your time — 60, 90, or 120 minutes — and we’ll create the perfect experience for you.   By Appointment Only

Your Body Is Asking for This

If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll “book when you have time,” ask yourself — how much longer do you want to feel this way?

Your body is giving you signals right now: the tight shoulders, the low back twinge, the mental fog, the way you wake up feeling like you didn’t actually rest.
You can ignore them… or you can give your body the care it’s been begging for.

When you book a session, you’re not just getting a massage — you’re making a choice to feel better today. You’re giving yourself permission to let go of tension, move with more ease, and walk out the door feeling lighter, calmer, and more yourself.

Your only decision? 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes.
We’ll take care of the rest.

Massage Therapy FAQs

You don’t have to figure that out before you come in. Sophia or Nancy will talk with you before your session about what your body needs that day, then choose the techniques that will help most.

As a starting point: Swedish massage is a lovely choice for relaxation and first-time clients. Deep tissue works well for chronic tension and stubborn knots. Hot stone is wonderful for stiffness and deep relaxation. Prenatal massage is designed for expectant mothers.

Deep Tissue Massage

Ideal for: Chronic tension, stubborn knots, athletes, and those who prefer firm pressure.

Deep Tissue Massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Using slow, deliberate strokes and focused pressure, it helps release long-held tension, improve mobility, and break up adhesions. Perfect if you’ve been feeling “locked up” or dealing with repetitive strain.

Swedish Massage

Ideal for: Stress relief, first-time massage clients, relaxation.

The most classic and widely known massage style, Swedish Massage uses long, flowing strokes, gentle kneading, and circular movements to ease muscle tension and encourage deep relaxation. It improves circulation, supports the immune system, and leaves you feeling calm and restored.

Hot Stone Massage

Ideal for: Deep relaxation, muscle stiffness, stress reduction.

Smooth, heated stones are placed and glided over the body to melt away tension and promote a profound sense of peace. The heat penetrates deep into muscles, easing stiffness and enhancing the benefits of massage. Many clients describe it as “the most relaxed I’ve ever felt.”

Sports / Athletic Recovery Massage

Ideal for: Athletes, active individuals, injury prevention, post-event recovery.

Designed to improve performance, reduce muscle soreness, and speed recovery, this massage uses a combination of stretching, deep tissue work, and targeted pressure. Whether you’re training hard or just feeling the effects of an active lifestyle, this is your go-to for staying mobile and pain-free.

Prenatal Massage

Ideal for: Expectant mothers seeking safe, soothing relief.

Specialized positioning and gentle techniques are used to relieve pregnancy-related discomforts like back pain, swelling, and hip tension. Promotes relaxation, better sleep, and overall well-being during this important time. Always performed with your safety and comfort as the top priority.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Ideal for: Chronic pain, nerve compression, postural imbalances.

This highly specialized therapy pinpoints the root of muscular pain through focused pressure and precision techniques. It helps release trigger points, improve posture, and restore proper movement patterns for long-term relief.

Myofascial Release

Ideal for: Restricted movement, chronic tension, post-injury recovery.

Targets the fascia — the web-like connective tissue surrounding muscles — to release tightness and improve mobility. Gentle, sustained pressure helps restore movement and ease discomfort caused by injury, stress, or poor posture.

Geriatric Massage

Ideal for: Seniors seeking improved circulation, mobility, and comfort.

A gentle, nurturing approach designed for older adults, this massage helps relieve aches, improve flexibility, and support overall well-being. Techniques are adapted to your needs to ensure safety and comfort.

Trigger Point Therapy

Ideal for: Persistent knots, referred pain patterns, headaches.

Uses focused pressure on hyperirritable muscle spots (“knots”) that can cause pain in other areas of the body. Helps break the pain-tension cycle, improve range of motion, and restore muscle function.

Reflexology

Ideal for: Stress relief, energy balancing, overall wellness.

A specialized technique applying pressure to specific points on the feet (and sometimes hands) that correspond to organs and systems in the body. Encourages balance, relaxation, and improved energy flow.

Your Session, Your Way

You don’t have to know which style to choose — that’s our job. Before your session, Sophia will talk with you about your goals, concerns, and preferences, then select the techniques that will serve you best.

Book your massage today and let us help you feel better than you have in weeks.

You can book 60, 90, or 120 minutes. A 60-minute massage is great for a full-body relaxation session or one or two focus areas. 90 or 120 minutes gives your therapist time to work your whole body and still spend extra time where you hold the most tension.

Pricing depends on the length of your session. You can see current prices for 60, 90, and 120-minute massages when you book online, or text us at (941) 275-9890 and we’ll be happy to help.

Your therapist will greet you, ask about any pain, injuries, or areas you’d like to focus on, and check your pressure preference. Then they’ll step out so you can undress to your comfort level and get under the sheet on the table.

During your massage, speak up any time about pressure, temperature, or anything else. This is your time, and we want you to feel completely comfortable.

Only to your comfort level. Many clients undress fully, and others keep their underwear on. You’ll always be covered with a sheet, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. If you have any questions or concerns beforehand, text us and we’ll talk it through with you.

Deep tissue massage uses firmer pressure, so you may feel some intensity in tight areas, but it should never feel like sharp pain. Let your therapist know right away if you want more or less pressure.

It’s normal to feel a little sore for a day or two afterward, a bit like after a workout. Drinking water and gentle stretching help.

Yes. Our prenatal massage uses special positioning and gentle techniques to ease back pain, swelling, and hip tension. Please let us know how far along you are when you book. If you have a high-risk pregnancy, check with your doctor before scheduling.

Tell us when you book and again at the start of your session about any injuries, surgeries, medications, or health conditions, plus any allergies or sensitivities to oils or scents. Your therapist will adjust the massage to keep you safe.

Yes. Every massage at Self-Care Center is performed by a Florida licensed massage therapist. Sophia trained at high-end Rocky Mountain spas, and Nancy brings oncology, hospice, and luxury spa experience.

Drink plenty of water, take it easy for the rest of the day if you can, and enjoy how you feel. A warm bath or gentle stretching can help your muscles stay relaxed, especially after deep tissue work.

It depends on your goals. For general stress relief and relaxation, many clients come once a month. If you’re working through chronic pain, tension, or an injury, every one to two weeks at first can help, then you can space sessions out as you feel better. Your therapist can recommend a schedule that fits your body.

The benefits of massage are widely proven and highly applicable to everyone living under the stress and physical demands of modern life. A healthy body promotes a healthy mind, free from physical manifestations of worry and distress. In addition to your psyche, your skin, your muscles, your skeletal system, and your immune system can all benefit from hands-on therapeutic attention.

Some of our favorite rewards that clients see after massage treatments include:

  • Reduced pain
  • Improved sleep patterns
  • Increased joint mobility and flexibility
  • Mental alertness
  • Boosted overall mood
  • Better injury recovery

Please give us at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged for the reserved service. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may need to shorten or reschedule your massage. You can read our full Spa Etiquette + Policies.

Gratuity isn’t included in the price of your service. Customary tipping is 15–25%. We aren’t able to add gratuity to credit card payments, but you can tip with cash, Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App.
